There is a stigma that deems durags as “unprofessional” and “unbefitting” when they are merely worn to retain the tidiness of one’s hair. Durags are a big part of Black, fashion, and hip hop culture; they shouldn’t be seen a negative thing, so I wanted to use my google doodle as a way to shine a positive light on wearing a durag.
